Course Description 

• This class is designed to introduce students to a wide variety of design elements and forms of digital media. Students will learn how to create products in the areas of photography, video, print, audio, and web design. Software used for the class includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Character Animator, Premier Pro and many more. 

 Major Focus Points for the Class

• Picturing Taking & Picture Editing
• Poster, T-Shirt, Product Design
• Audio Production - Digital Music, Foley, Recording, Audio Editing
• Video Production - Storytelling, Camera Angles, Lighting, Recording, Video Editing

SUPPLIES\FEES:  

• $15 Lab Fee 

GRADING:  

• MAJOR: Tests and Major Projects 60% 
• MINOR: Quiz and Daily Work 40% 

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS:  

• Respect yourself & others. 
• Be in your assigned seat/on the conference and ready to start when the bell rings. 
• Use the internet appropriately. Any unauthorized use will result in disciplinary action.

• Phones will not be used or needed during the class

ASSIGNMENTS:  

• WORKING TOGETHER – Each student is responsible for his or her own assignments. Students are encouraged to collaborate with their classmates when stuck on a problem. 

• Students should never copy assignments from one another – discussion is okay (and encouraged), copying assignments is not. Copied/plagiarized assignments will result in a failing grade and disciplinary action. 

• MAKE-UPWORK – If you are absent, it is your responsibility to ask (on the day of your return) for any assignments that you have missed. All assignments will be in Canvas by date so you should be able to look in Canvas and see what you missed.
• TUTORING – Students that are struggling are STRONGLY encouraged to come in for assistance and to work on assignments.
